Comments for Jacob and Sandeep: Richard Feyman

For your comments on Presentations:

Write about something well done.  What did you learn from this group?  What part of the Presentation seemed the best?

Is there constructive criticism that would help this group?  What might have been more clear?  What part of the Presentation seemed the least polished?

Post comments for this group below this post, please, as we all need feedback, and it's valuable.

  1. I liked your presentation a lot it was very informative and showed what a big impact he had on the physics community. Jacob knew a lot about him and I was always listening closely when he was talking. At the end of the presentation It seemed like things were a little unorganized not much but it just kind of lost its flow it had earlier, also I would have liked to see Sandeep do more talking and incorporate him more into the presentation.

  3. The thing that i liked best about this presentation was that both speakers seemed to enjoy the subject and also knew all of the information on it. They seemed confident and delivered their information concisely and accurately. I thought it was very interesting that Richard would go to strip clubs and extremely comedic.especially that of all things to do there he would do science. They only constructive criticism i would give this presentation is that i think they could have more accurately identified their three main points, introduction, and conclusion. Overall it was a very good presentation and i enjoyed it!

  4. I could tell you both really knew your information on Richard Feynman and as you were talking in the presentation, how involved you seemed. It was a good presentation, and it was neat to see you didn't need a powerpoint presentation to keep you organized with your talking. It was neat to see the Feynman diagram, and how well you explained that. I would've liked to see a picture maybe of Richard Feynman to begin the presentation, just so the audience could put a face with who you're talking about. Overall though, great presentation and information to go with it!

  5. It was amazing how you both were so organized with presenting without a powerpoint! My favorite thing about the presentation was the diagram you drew on the board, because it showed how easy the diagram was that anyone could understand it if taught in a certain way. One constructive criticism I would give is to use a powerpoint, not to direct you to what to say, but to show pictures of what you are talking about, like a picture of the man and pictures of simple diagram compared to the more complex diagram.

  6. I really thought it was interesting that you guys didn't use a powerpoint. I liked how confident you guys were in your knowledge of your topic. One thing that I enjoyed was the explanation you guys did about how eccentric Richard Feynman was, where to a point he would study and sleep at strip clubs. One criticism I would give, would be to refine your information more in a sense that your presentation was a bit of rant. Overall good job.

  7. I thought that Your presentation was very informative. I did not have any knowledge about Richard Feyman before this presentation. I found it interesting that he once stayed at a night club over night because he was thinking of some physics equations. some constructive criticism for your presentation would be that it felt like you talked more about interesting facts about him and less about his different contribution to physics.

  8. This project was cool to listen to. Feynman is a very popular individual in his field, but is not that well known outside of it. I believe the group gave people a good account of him and his work. the thing I think could have been stronger was better articulating how he affected physics and the Manhattan project.

  9. I never would have imagined a professor going to a strip club, especially not to work on physics equations. The presentation was very interesting. I had heard the name Feyman, but I never knew what he did. The only thing that you could have changed was splitting the presenting time more evenly between the two of you.

  10. I honestly knew absolutely nothing about Feynman, as I am not an engineering or science major, but I really enjoyed learning about him and what made him so iconic. It was definitely unique that the group did not use a powerpoint with the presentation, however I think despite that fact the group made up for it in the fact that they were so knowledgable about their topic. The only criticism I would have for the group is it seemed as though the presentation as a whole was not split up overly evenly in terms of speaking, but overall I really felt like this presentation was well done!

  11. I thought you did well presenting the information i had never heard of this man before so i learned a lot. I wish you would have had a few pictures though

  12. I knew about the Feyman diagram, however never knew much about its creator so I can say I learned a lot about the man who came up with the Feyman diagram. The only criticism I have is that the presentation could have been a bit more organized but overall the information was presented was good.

  13. VERY Informative, that's what I enjoyed about this project, I feel that a slideshow would have been a little helpful though by adding more images.
