  1. I liked your presentation I never knew anything about him before I learned a lot from the presentation Its amazing ho he performed for around 300 nights out of the year. I liked the video it was a good touch to show us his skills and be able to hear him. I felt that there was something missing from the presentation, something that would catch everyone's attention, I'm not quite sure what that might be but that's just my opinion. But overall I feel it was a good presentation.

  2. I thought this was a great presentation. One thing i found very interesting or memorable is that he had so many nicknames. Especially the story of how he got the nickname satchmo. I was also surprised that he performed 300 nights a year, that's more than most performers now! One piece of constructive criticism i would give this group is i would have liked to hear some more facts of how his songs did chart wise and how have they endured in popularity to people who still enjoy jazz. Overall it was a very well put together presentation and had some great information!

  3. This presentation was a very good one. I could tell you both loved what you were talking about and I liked that you showed a video of him playing at the end. It gave me a sense of what he was like after you explained how he worked up to the point of being a famous performer. The 300 nights a year showed how hardworking and dedicated Louis was. Some constructive criticism would be maybe to explain more about the video after you played it. It was neat, but I would've liked to hear more information about it. Great job overall though!

  4. This presentation was very interesting! I thought the most interesting part was how many nicknames he had! I also really enjoyed the video you played at the end because it helped us hear how he performed and it was very fun and amusing. One constructive criticism i would give is to have more statistics about his success. Overall, great presentation!

  5. This presentation was very enjoyable just because I just started being interested in Jazz very recently and it just sparked my interest in that sense. I really enjoyed the video you guys played, it really showed me the enthusiasm in the way he played jazz, I didn't even know he sang! But one piece of criticism would be giving a bit more information about his road to success. Good job either way.

  6. Well done. Personally, growing up listening to Jazz, I believe today people do not appreciate jazz for what it was. The people who inspired it like Armstrong deserve all the recognition, and so I believe this was a good iconic person to share. The thing I would have changed was to better explain the presented you tube video that was shared.

  7. I thought that this prevention was helpful in learning about Louis Armstrong's. I found it interesting that that he was one of the main people who was able to bring about the jazz era of music. One thing that I think you did well in your presentation was describing him and his contribution to jazz. To give you some constructive criticism I thought that you could have described more about his works and technics that he make for jazz.

  8. Your presentation was well researched and I like how you provided the back story for an jazz icon. You guys did a good job of highlighting his personal characteristics and what made him so important to jazz music. Perhaps there could have been more about his music. You mentioned how he preformed 300 nights a year and we heard a sample of his music, but it would have been nice to hear a bit more of his process, and what went into writing them. Overall it was very good and it seemed like you guys enjoyed it too.

  9. One fact that I found incredible was that he performed almost 300 nights out of the year. Your presentation was great and I learned a lot about Armstrong. The only thing that could have been different was to tell us how he became interested in music and a few more statistics.

  10. I really enjoyed this presentation, partially because trumpet was my instrument and because Louis Armstrong is so iconic in the world of jazz. An interesting, new fact that I learned was the he did not start out on the trumpet, but that he began on the cornet. I liked the fact that you gave us some background information about Louis Armstrong at the beginning of the presentation and then went into his music towards the end. The only criticism that I would have for this presentation is I wish you would have talked a bit more about Louis Armstrong's passion for music and the creativity, and brilliant instrumental techniques he had when it came to musical improv.

  12. It looked like both of you knew awful lot about your topic. The thing I learned form this presentation was that Armstrong didn't star of with the trumpet. I enjoyed the video too. I feel like you guys could have touched more on why he is such an iconic figure in jazz.
