  1. One of the things that caught my attention was that he started as a street performer and now he has toured a lot of Europe. I counted around 10 different major areas. I thought it was quite comical to see him signing a baby's diaper. I enjoyed the variation of different tones that he could muster up. His message of freedom was liberating as well.

  2. A line from one of Dub FX's song was "Prisoner inside my dreams". This line stood out to me just because I had never thought of dreams as being something you can get trapped in. A clip that caught my eye was when Dub FX signed an infants outfit, which I thought was really strange. I think the purpose of this profile is to show the world that there are still people out there that care about music and street performance.

  3. The talent of these guys is just incredible. The image that caught my eye was in the first few seconds of the video there was a stain glass window with his picture on it. He also kept repeating just to get out there, cause sitting in your room practicing doesn't get you anywhere, getting on the streets and making something of what you have is where you will make a difference and develop those important relationships. That's really the purpose of the video also is just to show that musicians do still rise from the streets and become something incredible. I know i liked his music more than a lot of new songs recorded and made by the people behind the scenes.

  4. what stood out most to me is the fact that he is doing all this because he loves to do it and not to please anyone but himself. one thing said that is most important to me is "if you don't throw yourself out there, nothing is going to change." and the reason it stands out to me is because i have always been afraid to throw myself out there and everyone needs to so they can get comfortable being different. i think the purpose of this profile is to get Dub FX out in the open and to show people that it is okay to be different and do what you really believe in and do what you love.

  5. Some things that stood out to me from this video, was when Dub FX was saying, if you don't throw yourself out there nothing will happen. this stood out to me because i too, believe this. another statement that stood out, was when Dub FX said, nothing will happen just sitting around talking about it, you have to do it to get anywhere. i also believe this to be true, you cant just sit around and let things happen you have to make them happen.

  6. something that caught my eye was how he had such a positive attitude and was just such an inspiring person even though he's not some huge pop start or really wealthy. There was a picture that showed briefly and I believe it said. "After rain comes sunshine" and I thought it was pretty cool. It's always helpful to hear positive words and I think the picture says a lot about who he is.

  7. The Images that stood out to me was the loop of him singing into the microphone close up. His passion pouring out into every word which left his mouth. I also enjoyed seeing him sign autographs and laugh with fans showing that he is down to earth. My favorite saying that he used was Just do it. Don't talk about it or wait around for something to happen. Get out their and pursue your dreams. The message inside this video is that original Hip Hop is still alive. People are using their talent to preach what they believe, show their skills and building a following on their own.

  8. The images of the crowds that gathered around him on the street were powerful because they represented just how hard he worked to get where he is.

When he said nothing can happen for you unless you go out and do it. This stood out because when he said it, I could tell just how much he really believed it.

I think the purpose of this profile was to show that there are still people today that are working hard for what they believe in and not taking no for an answer.

  9. What images that really stood out to me are the clothes and other accesories that Dub FX wears. you can see by his sort of rag tag clothing and anarchy necklace that he doesnt care what society thinkd or wear what the popular trend is. he wears what he likes and what makes him happy and thats why these things stood out to me. what was most memorable to me out of what was said was "im not gonna please anyone just for the sake of pleasing them, im just going to do what i love". this caught my attention the most because it ties in with what i thought of his clothes and it describes his personality perfectly. He isnt somebody who tries to comform and please others, all he cares about is pleasing himself and if in the process he pleases others or captures their attention then thats just a bonus. I believe the message or purpose of this profile was to spread information about Dub FX and what he stands for. that this is his passion and he does it and will continue to do it for this reason.

  10. Watching this documentary profile provided a very interesting perspective on who Dub Fx is and what he does. Showing his music via profile documentary really allowed the viewer to connect with the emotion that flows from his music, not only hearing the music but also visually being able to see the impact his music has on others. When the documentary showed his different street preformances, it was incredible and the people that flocked around him to hear his unique sound definately seemed to be enjoying themselves. It wasn't only him, but his listeners as well, seemed to get lost in the music.

  11. The image that stood out the most to me was when he was singing in the middle of all of those people in the square and when he was singing at the night concert on the stage and how much everyone was going crazy for him. One thing that was sung that stood out to me was when he said "I've already made it". He knows that he has done what he wanted to do and become a well know singer without the help of a record company. The message of this profile is just that, you dont need a record label that pays you millions and become famous for you to know that your doing what you love.

  12. The image that caught my eye was at the begining when he started his first song on the roof, that shot of the bird. It was only a few seconds but I think it was pretty symbolic of his whole mindset of freedom in what he does. The quote that I really like was, " if you dont throw yourself out there, nothing ever happens." I think that approach to life is pretty powerful.

  13. Within the video, the images that stood out the most to me would be when Dub FX was performing one of his first shows on the streets and he told everyone to raise their fist in one of his songs, and everyone did in fact raise their fist. That just really stood out to me that he has a lot of people that respect him. The things that Dub FX said that seemed important to me in this profile is when he said he started performing all around Europe with just using pedals. Dub FX also said that freedom of speech is the most important to him and what he does the most in his performances are things that are important to him. The message behind this profile is to do what you love, even if it seems like it will take time . . . if you love it enough it is worth it. Also, that by word of mouth and having people back you up is how you can get famous. You don't have to have a record label and be publicized for it to happen.

  14. The images/clips that really stood out to me was just the scenes where he was performing in front of crowds of people. First, because I don't personally see or hear about a lot of street performers start doing staged shows like that these days. It's not as common of a thing as it was before and it amazes me how he's grown to be that famous. Also, the way his audience reacts to his music also caught my eye, and just how into the music they were, and how much they "felt" his music.

One line in one of the songs that played during the documentary was something a long the lines of, "I've never made it 'cause I already made it." That line really stood out to me just because of the impressive optimism it shows towards how Dub FX views life.

The purpose, in my opinion, is just to throw around news of Dub FX and show off his amazing talent and just spread the word about him. It briefly summarized his process of performing, how he "started off" so to speak, and how he's grown from that point.

  15. I enjoyed watching this. Although this isn't my choice of music ,it is a refreshing change! it is upbeat, His philosophy about just getting som, ething out there and working form that rather than just sitting back and thinking about it is inspirational. Since he has not signed to any contracts, I think Dub Fx is more open and therefor more meaningful and free. So different from the mainstream we are subject to everyday,

  16. Something that stood out to me was when he was going to street preform and announced beforehand where he was going to play. The reaction that he had to how large the crowd stood out to me. something that he said that stood out was that he was worried that the sound wouldn't be loud enough for everyone to hear it.

  17. Dub FX is incredible! The guts he had to perform in front of an audience baffles my mind! I can barely speak in front of my class, when I am forced to for presentation, but the idea that he could just get out of his comfortable atmosphere and perform, for small crowds at first and then larger and larger crowds is amazing. One thing that caught my ear is when he said, "If you don't put yourself out there, nothing will happen". I liked this quote that Dub FX said because although it is so obvious, some people tend to not really realize it. I liked his music a lot, and his personality even more.

  18. The thing that stood out the most to me was the line "Prisoner inside my dreams." This stood out to me because he looks at himself as a prisoner of his own dreams which in this case is doing what he loves that is street preforming. I was also amazed by the amount of people that show up at his performances, which are not in an auditorium but just in the middle of the street. The purpose of this profile is to show that there are very talented people who do what they love to do and do not care for money or signing big contracts.

  19. The images that stood out to me were the "postcards" or still shots of Dub FX playing all over Eastern Europe, I saw Amsterdam, Kiev, Russia, Germany, Bulgaria and India. It is not an easy life to log those miles but what a great experience to travel and share music like that. A lyric I heard and appreciated was "I ain't gonna spend my time thinking about how I never made it." He's always positive and encouraging and I think we all need that, or we sit on our dreams and don't act on them. I don't want to have all these regrets because I was too scared to try something positive and creative. I respect the work he's put in to become a hit. It certainly didn't happen overnight.

  20. The concerts in the many places, because they had so many lights, I felt like I was having a seizure. I was having a hard time appreciating his music, but I like the part when he was giving us a look into his world. All because, no one sees the backstage of a concert, during a concert. These videos are made for the fun of of it and for worldwide recognition, He wouldn't be in Kiev if it wasn't for the Internet.
